From what we have read, and experienced this has been a big year for bike theft in the City of Minneapolis.
But it isn’t just us, a recent article from the Minneapolis Community & Technical College student newspaper, points out that they have experienced an alarming rise in bicycle theft on campus this fall. According to the article, the majority of the bikes stolen have utilized cable locks, which are easily cut.
So what are we supposed to do about all of this? Well, either you can hope that a hero comes along to chase down the would be bike thief, wait for the University of Minnesota Police Department, to catch all the bad guys (and gals) with their bait bike, or lock it up properly.
We know what we are relying on.
