Weekend Cycling Events
We have been out of the office for the last two days (which you can probably tell from the lack of posts) but never fear, we still have you covered for the Weekend Events.
Readers if you know of something happening that you don’t see listed here, put it into the comments section for everyone to see.
Powderhorn 24: First annual crack at racing for 24 hours around Minneapolis. The premise is simple, in all categories (individual, team, etc.) the team with the most laps in 24 hours wins. It kicks off at 7:00 pm tonight if you are looking to check it out (registration is closed). This could get interesting with overnight rain in the forecast.
Salsa Two-Four – Another day, the start of another 24 hour bike race. Although instead of being on skinny tires and in the city, this one will feature fat tires, and a lot more climbing. Check out the website, there will be plenty to do even if you aren’t racing.
Bike and Bite– Glorious local food, beer and biking, what could be better! This event is sold out, but just because you don’t have a ticket doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some festivities. The ride starts at 10 Saturday Morning at IATP’s Whittier neighborhood office (2105 1st Avenue South), ending with a celebration overlooking our staff-run vegetable garden.
If you are headed to any of these events and want to give CTC a re-cap, that would be great, just contact us.
