Royal 162 Rider Tackles the Divide

Tour of the Divide, is by all accounts one of the most grueling and challenging events in the country.  One stage, 2,745 miles, self-suppourted.  One Minnesotan started the race last Friday, Ben Oney from Northfield Minnesota.  A few short weeks ago Ben rode the Royal 162, his result; 17. Ben Oney – 13:43.

Despite this respectable time and outcome for Ben at the Royal 162, he is currently up against a little bit bigger of a challenge with this event.  All riders for the event have a choice of starting south and heading north or vise-versa.  Ben choose to start off in Banff, Alberta Canada and work his way south.

We will try to catch up with Ben when he gets back to the area but you can follow Ben’s every movement with the tour tracker.  Right now it looks like Ben is running 18th place averaging 139.84 Miles per day, wow.
