City of Minneapolis Brings Home Gold

As we continue to dig through the stories that we missed last week, we were happy to see.

In addition to the announcements earlier this year that the University of Minnesota and City of Minneapolis were recognized as employers by the League of American Bicyclists, last week the City of Minneapolis earned a Gold for Bicycle Friendly Communities [PDF].

Honestly the recognition doesn’t do much for the city other than a big ‘ol pat on the back, but that’s nice to have too. It also might help out our state ranking (currently sitting at #4) when those come out later this year.  It also puts us one step closer to the top of the heap, Platinum status!
