Memorial Ride for Audrey Hull (Kimberly Yeong Sil Hull) This Wednesday

Last Thursday Kimberly “Audrey” Yeong Sil Hull was struck and killed while riding her bike in Dinkytown.  Details about this tragic event are somewhat vague, and frankly, irrelevant.  Last week we discussed the implications of a fatal bike accident and the reaction from the cycling community.

An event planned for this Wednesday is another example of how the cycling community reacts by attempting to turn something negative into a positive remembrance.

Thanks to Lowrah over at Grease Rag for tipping us to this event and we hope to see you all there.

So, who am i and why am i doing this?
I’m just a Minneapolis bike commuter who was deeply saddened by this tragedy. i didn’t know Audrey, but hope that many of her friends and/or family and other twin cities cyclists will show up to honor her. May she rest in peace.

With respect and deep sympathy,
kyle torfin
