Signs of Spring: Return of Outdoor Bike Polo

They have been oh-so-patient. Waiting on the sidelines all winter long, waiting for the ice on the permanent hockey rink to melt.  They are the Thursday pick-up polo players of McRae Park in Minneapolis.

With a little bit of luck we showed up just as games were beginning to get going on the very first polo Thursday of the year.  Seven players, all types of bikes, and half of the 1×1 team, fresh off their impressive showing in Little Rock last month at the SCBPC.

Seven players made it out this Thursday (at least while we were there) and the games started a little late, but as summer creeps in the games will get longer, and the groups will get bigger.  For now, it is nice to see people outside in shorts, enjoying their bikes.
