Stuck in the Twin Cities this weekend while all of your friends are down in Austin at NAHBS? Don’t worry there is still plenty of stuff for you to do around the cities!
Weekend Cycling Events
Open Streets Door Knocking: The Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition is working hard to get a permit for a proposed “Open Streets” route along Lyndale Avenue South for June 12th, but they need help to get approval from adjacent businesses and residences. Last week 500 notices were delivered to area residences and businesses, this week it is time to do some door knocking and they need your help. They are meeting at CRC Coffee bar at 9:00 am and expect knocking to take until noon. For more information on the Open Streets initiative, visit the Minneapolis Bicycle Coalition’s website. If you are planning on attending they ask that you RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
SausageFest: Sunday is looking like it is supposed to be a pretty nice day, so why not get up early and ride your bike to a sausage feast at Kramarczuk’s brunch? The ride starts at 9:00 at Minnehaha Falls, for more details head on over to the MPLS Bike Love Forum.
National Sports Center Indoor Grass/Criterium Racing: Only three dates left, so if you want to try racing on the grass, get going. The ongoing grass racing series continues Sunday night starting at 9:00.
