Resurfacing To Bring More Bike Lanes to Downtown Minneapolis

This summer Downtown Minneapolis is getting some nice new blacktop.  Based on the current planning (see map below) over 4 miles of road are slated to receive a new 2-3 inches of pavement.  Included in this, is a plan to re-stripe almost all of these roads with bike lanes.

The City of Minneapolis is going to be hosting two public meetings to present the planned enhancements.

If you’re going to attend, let us know!

Both public meetings will take place in the Doty Room of the Minneapolis Central Library, 300 Nicollet Mall:

Thursday, Jan. 27, 2011, 2 – 4 p.m.
(presentation is at 2:30 p.m.)

Monday, Jan. 31, 2011 6 – 7:30 p.m.
(presentation is at 6:30 p.m.)
